Arbed am Byth have been appointed by the Welsh Government to arrange the installation of energy efficiency measures, like central heating or insulation in homes across Wales as part of the Welsh Government Warm Homes - Arbed scheme.
Welsh Government Warm Homes - Arbed scheme is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Regional Development Fund. The aim of the scheme is to help eradicate fuel poverty by identifying and installing where appropriate energy efficiency measures in properties in areas of severe fuel poverty across Wales. More information can be found on
Arbed am Byth have been appointed by the Welsh Government to work with Local Authorities across Wales to identify such areas and to propose area based schemes which will tackle fuel poverty.
The Welsh Government Warm Homes - Arbed scheme provides a range of energy efficiency measures, including insulation, efficient heating systems and more, to households who are struggling with the cost of high energy bills, making homes warmer, more comfortable and more affordable to heat. The measures installed will depend on the recommendations of a qualified and independent energy assessor following a Whole House Assessment of each property.
HOW THE SCHEME WORKS
If you live in an eligible area, an eligibility survey of your property is required before we can make an offer of assistance. If you live in an applicable area you will be contacted by us. The purpose of this survey is to:
Once we have received all the required paperwork, a technical survey will be booked with an appointed installer. A technical survey will be a walkthrough of your property looking at the technical suitability and preparation works required.
If all parties are happy with the outcome of the survey an installation date will be arranged with an installer.
Once all measures have been installed, Arbed am Byth will arrange to visit your property to check you are happy with the new measures and complete a final quality inspection.
*We require your permission before any work can be carried out. Once an assessment of your property is completed and we have confirmed you are eligible for assistance, we will send an offer letter & permission form outlining the energy efficiency measures we can provide under the scheme. If you approve of the offer and wish to progress with the application, we require these forms signed and returned to us within 10 working days.
Arbed am Byth is focused on delivering community benefits throughout the lifecycle of the contract and is committed to working with and supporting highly-skilled sub-contractors, taken from communities across Wales, that can provide a genuinely local service.
Local communities will play a vital role in both supporting and benefitting from the schemes, and the targeted regeneration investment will help create local jobs, enhance skills and employability, and create the environment for businesses to grow and thrive.
The project team will ensure that we develop links that deliver demonstrable added value to Welsh householders.
We will be working in partnership with Contract Teams, Local Authorities, SMEs, the Third Sector, Training providers and local communities themselves, to identify key opportunities for community benefit and ensure the delivery of agreed benefits.
Our approach aims to be fundamentally collaborative with SMEs, local communities, local authorities and third sector organisations throughout Wales. Our operations will be embedded in these communities.
